The stories we tell are reflections of who we are. At our core, we’re storytellers, and experts with words. We create, design, edit, and share documents, presentations, reports, lists, workbooks, emails, and just about anything else that has words. Our job is to take your big ideas and put them on paper. Advertising, even (actually, especially) for churches, is critical for sharing your story. Between PPC, SEO, and all of the other acronyms, the heart of marketing gets lost. We specialize in helping churches adapt to online worship environments, especially recorded services and digital communications. By advising on website development, social media, and digital and print advertising, we help you sell your community on you and the message you share.
Support your internal and external communication
Communicating well is the heart of the Empress mission. Communicating to the outside world can be difficult enough, but communicating within your congregational context can also be a challenge. “PR” is such a secular term, so whatever the Christian version is, that’s what we do. We draft letters, develop timelines for spreading the word, format reports, and design information to grow, retain, and strengthen your ministry.

Stewardship and pledge drives don’t have to be so difficult. We walk alongside churches - with a particular heart for small and mid-size congregations - in maximizing their giving pool through a marketing and communications lens. We’ve learned the secrets to effective campaigns. The first one: it’s always about what’s local. High-impact stewardship deserves high-impact advising.
Our Story
Empress was launched in 2021 by two college graduates with a heart for telling stories well. Created as a Christian response to the post-pandemic communication craze, our story is all about steadfast service in a changing world. Research from Barna and other groups has consistently shown that the ministry adaptations made during the pandemic - online worship, social media marketing, and an increased need for understanding the pulse of the local community, to name a few - will only become more important in time. As we looked around, we noticed that the brick and mortar consulting firms were having trouble adapting to this new reality, as well. It also seemed clear that only larger churches with big budgets were benefiting from advisory services. Empress was born because we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality communications consulting with affordable price plans. In past two years, we’ve grown to nearly a dozen consultants, each with degrees and accreditation in related fields. By supporting Empress, you’re supporting a diverse team with an average age of 27. We’re a new generation that values tradition, modernization, and meaningful stories. We’re excited for the honor of sharing yours.
